Shoulder Workout: How to Do Dumbbell Upright Row

To form an arm muscle to make it look more muscular and sturdy, one of the arm muscles that you need to train is the shoulder / deltoid muscle. Shoulder muscle is one of the big muscles that you have to train properly, so you can get good arm muscles.

In the previous post here: Shoulder Workout - How to to Dumbbell Front Raise, I have discussed how to train the front shoulder muscles with the dumbbell front raise and the back shoulder muscles with the dumbbell shoulder press.

You can replace dumbell upright rows using a barbell (barbell upright row). Following are the stages of implementing dumbbell upright row:

- Stand up straight. Your back must be straight, the view facing forward
- Both hands hold a pair of dumbbells
- Lower the dumbbell position (parallel to the thigh)
- Raise the dumbbell until it is level with the shoulder
- The position of the elbow must form 45 degrees
- Repeat the movement
- Do 10-15 reps, 3-4 sets

You can use a load that suits your abilities, so you can get perfect movements. When doing dumbbell upright row, only your two hands have the role to swing the dumbbell. Your body must not move, because if your body moves along, your shoulder muscles will not work with minimal effect.

Therefore, it is necessary for you to choose the right load. Don't use the weight too much, but you can't lift it perfectly. Use the burden that is right for you.
